I offer an integrative, individualized approach to therapy, blending evidence-based modalities to support each person as a whole. I believe therapy works best when it is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs, strengths, and life experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported as you navigate growth and healing.
I specialize in maternal mental health, including perinatal and postpartum mental health, postpartum anxiety, parenting challenges, and support for parents adjusting to the emotional demands of caregiving. I also work with trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, substance use concerns, and major life transitions. I work with adults and parents who may be feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Together we focus on building self-compassion, resilience, and practical tools while honoring your existing strengths and values.
My approach integrates multiple therapeutic modalities--including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)--allowing therapy to be flexible and responsive rather than one-size-fits-all. I see in-person clients in a private, comfortable office in Black Mountain and remotely via telehealth. For clients who find walking outdoors more conducive to therapeutic dialogue and processing, I also offer walk-and-talk therapy.
In addition to individual therapy, I enjoy facilitating support groups, creating opportunities for connection, shared understanding, and community.
While your decision to begin therapy is a crucial step towards wholeness and a values-oriented life, the prospect of therapy may also be intimidating. Choosing a therapist that not only aligns with your specific needs, but is also sensitive to any concerns you may have about therapy itself, is essential. Please reach out to me by whatever means you feel most comfortable to schedule a free initial consultation.

Simply reach out by phone, email, or through the contact form to schedule a free consultation. We'll briefly discuss what brings you to therapy and whether we're a good fit.
1
How do I get started?
What happens during the consultation?
2
The consultation is an opportunity to ask questions, share what you're looking for, and learn more about my approach. There is no pressure or obligation to move forward.
What can I expect at the first session?
3
We'll spend time getting to know each other, discussing your goals, current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You don't need to prepare anything in advance, though I do have a few helpful, yet optional, questionnaires.
How often and how will we meet?
4
Most clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions, though frequency can be adjusted based on your needs, goals, and schedule. I offer in person, virtual, and “walk and talk” therapy, with proximity to a lovely greenway on which to do so.
How long will I need to engage in therapy?
5
Therapy is highly individualized. Some people come for short-term support around a specific concern, while others choose longer-term work focused on deeper patterns, healing, and growth.
I take most major insurance, including BCBS, Aetna, Medcost, and Optum. My private pay fee is $150 an hour, slide scale rates may be available, please ask me!

How much does therapy cost?
What is “walk and talk” therapy?
7
Walk-and-talk therapy is a form of counseling that takes place outdoors, where we walk together in a park or other natural setting rather than meeting in a traditional office. Combining the benefits of movement, nature, and psychotherapy, this approach can help reduce stress, foster reflection, and create a more natural space for conversation and emotional processing.
